I really enjoined reading this book, the second in the trilogy. A person is immediately back into all the characters which means immediate action. It is a fast moving action story that keeps you riveted wanting to know what is going to happen next. Very entertaining and have already ordered the last of the Sam Jenkins saga.Product details

Good story, incredibly badly edited though.
Mr Mare, you have done it again. After reading Poacher, and finding it 5 star, I would like to give this 6 stars!. As I said about Poacher, "A brilliant read, and very hard to put down. As someone who has spent (and still spends) a great deal of time in the Kruger National Park, I found this book both entertaining as a novel, and accurate in what life in the Kruger is like. Very highly recommended."
I really liked this book but was distracted by all the mistakes in the text! Would have given it a 5 star rating if otherwise. The local is exciting and I am looking forward to Sam Jenkins next adventure.
Whoever proof read this version, needs to look for a new job. There were so many grammar errors it almost spoilt the read. At one stage i did not know if I should bother carrying on, but it was a good story about a place that is very dear to my heart, so I persevered, and I am glad I did. Sam Jenkins, the hero, continues wooing the woman and ridding the Kruger National Park of the bad guys.
If you like "exciting" stories about the African bush and especially the Kruger National Park, this is worth the read, you just have to try ignore the grammatical errors.
This book was an interesting read. It was informative about the poaching of wild animals in Africa and also a love story. It was easy to read and held my attention until completion.
Born and raised in South Africa and once a regular visitor to the Kruger Park, I thoroughly enjoyed Cheetah In The Rain, Leon Mare's follow-up novel to Poacher. As with Poacher, his novels provide a nostalgic journey back to that part of South Africa that I will always remember with great fondness.
Thanks Leon for another exciting and enjoyable read!
